Title: Nature, Gardens, and Georgetown
Nature, Gardens, & Georgetown celebrates nature and gardens and centers on the Georgetown University Area of the Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Area (the University, adjacent parklands, and parts of Fairfax County, VA and Montgomery County, MD). It is a popular-style book, made as scientifically accurate as possible. Youll read about biodiversity, biological research, conservation, gardens, and local history as seen through the eyes of actual and plausible people.
The author, Edd Barrows, is a research field biologist and professor who has worked at GU since 1975. He studies biodiversity and conservation, is active in scientific societies, and has published many scientific papers and a dictionary called Animal Behavior Desk Reference.
