Additional Information:   Viola cucullata Aiton (Marsh Blue Violet) flowers in April through July in Maryland (Brown and Brown 1984, page 655).   This violet grows on wet soils in bogs, swamps, and other places.   Its flowers vary from light violet through mid-violet.
